Rajesh Bhat completes course on RTI Act | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 9: Augmenting his knowledge on the subject, Rajesh Bhat, a senior journalist-cum- broadcaster has successfully completed the prestigious Certificate Course on `` The RTI Act 2005'' He is the first journalist and only sixth from the State of Jammu and Kashmir having so far completed the course, which will go a long way in helping him in delivering his professional skills and abilities while dealing with the subject. Administered by the Centre for Good Governance (CGG), Hyderabad, in collaboration with the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, this online Certificate Course was based on three modules and 12 chapters. The course pertained to all the Sections on the RTI Act 2005, responsibilities and duties of Public Information Officers and First Appellate Authorities, besides the functioning of the Central Information Commission (CIC). Some important matters, rulings, case histories and decisions of the CIC were also part of this course. In order to help in bringing transparency and make Public Authorities accountable, Mr Bhat suggested every citizen to take part this course and also exercise their right to know under the RTI Act 2005. |
