| SP appreciates separatist leaders | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sep 10: Samajwadi Party (SP) has appreciated the move of separatist leaders to halt ongoing spate of strikes for three days and appealed them to put an end to all these activities, which go against the spirit of democratic right to protest. .
Party President Sheikh Abdul Rehman stated this during a meeting at party headquarters where present political situation of the state was discussed. Meeting first congratulated people of the state and the country on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr and "Ganesh Utsav" and prayed God for return peace and prosperity to the people of the Country.
Further, the meeting noted that "Ram Janam Bhoomi" verdict is stated to be announced on September 14, 2010 by the Allahabad High Court. Since the matter is of sensitive nature involving sentiments of the people, meeting appealed countrymen to accept the decision of court with open heart.
Meeting further cautioned countrymen against certain forces, which may try to exploit sentiments of people for deriving political mileage by vitiating peaceful atmosphere of the country and appealed the people to maintain communal harmony at all costs. |
