| Samooh Theatre organizes dance show | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 12: A mega dance show 'Udaan 2010' organized by Samooh Theatre was held at Zorawar Singh Auditorium of Jammu University here today. On the occasion Ch. Lal Singh was the Chief Guest. While addressing the audience Lal Singh appreciated the efforts of Samooh Theatre and trance in order to spread peace in the disturbed state of J&K. He said that all the art forms can play a very important role in order to remove conflicts and establish harmony and tranquility. He also congratulated all the participants especially for the performance of Piyush who was the special attraction of today's performance. Piyush is the 'Son of Soil' who recently brought laurels for J&K State as he stood 2nd in the National Children Dance Competition "Chak Dhoom Dhoom". The main dance attractions were Salsa, Couple dance, Boying Hip Hop Bollywood, classical and semi-classical dance. The performance of the Vijay Rawat a renowned contemporary trainer enthralled the audience besides the workshop performance. Earlier, Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Director Samooh Theatre welcomed the guests and gave the details of the activities undertaken by the group. He also highlighted the importance of mega dance event 'Udaan-2010.' All the performer were trained under the guidance of Amit Dubey whereas Rinku, Sadhana, Tarun, Monika Gagan, Maan were the Assistants. The proceedings of the progamme were conducted by the Prashant and Julie who also presented vote of thanks in the end. |
