Workshop on "Communication Skills and Personality Development" begins | | | Early Times Jammu, Sept 13: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government College for Women (GCW) Parade Ground, Jammu has organized a ten-day long workshop on "Communication Skills and Personality Development" that started from today. Kiran Bakshi, Principal GCW Parade, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the workshop. In her inaugural speech, principal appreciated the role of College IQAC in organizing the activities that favour the college students to stand in the race of global competition. She also elaborated the importance of communication skills in everyday life, job market and industry, professional growth and personal relationships.Seema, the resource person from Perfect E- Solutions, Panchkula presented the keynote address on communication skills. She highlighted the different modules like know thy- self, body language, voice modulation, presentation skills and interview skills to be discussed in the workshop. Earlier M.S. Pathania, coordinator IQAC welcomed the guests and highlighted the main aim of organizing the said workshop. He appreciated the student's response to attend this workshop. Pathania informed that at the first instance the workshop is being attended by 150 students who have been selected from Functional English, Commerce and Home Science streams and this will be followed by holding of other workshops of 10 days each to cover up the students of other streams of the college. Senior faculty members, members of IQAC and college students were also present on the occasion. Meenu Mahajan, member IQAC presented the vote of thanks. |
