| Deplorable conditions of lanes, drains highlighted | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sept 13: A meeting of Congress workers was held at Shant Nagar (Toph Sherk hania) in ward number 39 of Jammu-West constituency to take stock of the problems being faced by the people of the area.The speakers highlighted the local problems being faced by the people of the area.
They complained about the bad condition of the lanes and drains poor supply of electric power for want of electric poles and wire. Senior vice president JK PCC Mangat Ram Sharma, former Dy. Chief Minister chaired the meeting. Speaking in the meeting Sharma said that service of people is the agenda of Congress party and he will continue to work for the welfare of people.
He assured the gathering that their problems will be taken up with the concerned departments for early redressal. He asked the party workers to work unitedly and strengthen the organization at the grass root level. Senior party workers Keshvanand Sharma, Ram Parkash, Vipan Padha, Mool Raj, Ajay Singh, Hari Singh, Dev Parkash, Jawaharlal Bhat, Shuban Bhat were among those who spoke on the occasion. |
