| Former ISI Chief seen day dreaming as he predicts balkanisation of India | | | Srinagar,July 27 :- Gen.(Retd) Hamid Gul,a former Chief of the dreaded Pakistan's ISI continues to nurse his age-old wish of seeking India balkanised. Basing on his dreams Gen. Hamid Gul has,in an interview published in Muzaffarabad based fortnightly Sadai Hurriyat, said that the current feeling of furstration among Jehadis in Jammu and kashmir was a temporary affair. The reason for this is that soon after America's possible debacle in Afghanistan the situation for India will become difficult. He has said that there should be no cause for Jehadis to harbour a feeling of desperation and disappointment. In support of his contention the former ISI Chief has referred to the ongoing problems being faced by India on account of the activities of naxalites and Moaists in norther-eastern region and said that violence having been triggered by these naxalities and Moaists would result in the fragmentation of the north-eastern belt of India. Gen. Hamid Gul has not stopped there. He has predicted that the Khalistan movement in Punjab would be reborn soon adding to the woes of the Government of India. He has said that once India faced heat in north-east and in Punjab it would have no other alternative but to find a solution to the Kashmir issue. He has said that he was sure that the Kashmir issue would be settled as per the wishes of the people of the state and without that India cannot enjoy even a semblance of peace and political stability. Commenting on Gen. Hamid Gul's observation political observers here said that if Gen. Gul's treatise was based on his wishful thinking he would have to face disappointment. They said if his prediction was based on the ISI strategy finalised when Gen. Hamid Gul headed the ISI it should be taken seriously by the Government of India because it meant that the ISI had drawn its road map for causing political and economic bleed of India.
