Slathia address public meetings at Shahzadpur, Dera Ganotra | | | early times report JAMMU, Sept 13: Minister for Industries and Commerce Surjit Singh Slathia today said that Government is fully aware of the people's problems pertaining to development and no stone will be left unturned to redress these problems in a phased manner. Slathia said this while speaking at a largely drawn public meeting after laying the foundation stone of two lanes at village Shahzadpur in Vijaypur. He also announced as 2 lakh under Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) for providing aid to the houseless families in village Shahzadpur and Dera. He also settled 15 National old age pension cases on the occasion. Slathia instructed the accompanying officers to provide drinking water, power supply and sanitation facilities to the people of these border villages. Slathia announced Rs. 2 lakh for the construction of boundary wall of Government Primary School Dera Ganotra on the occasion. He also issued instructions to the PDD authorities to replace the old and torn out wires to improve power supply in the area. He also assured the public for regular ration supply in the area as demanded by the locals. Among others XEN PWD, PDD, PHE and other senior officers of various departments also accompanied the Minister. |
