No issue can be resolved without dialogue: Sagar

Ramban, Sep 15: Appealing to the people to come forward and help in the restoration of peace in the Kashmir Valley, the minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohd. Sagar said that separatists should come forward to talk with the center as no issue can be resolved without resorting to the medium of dialogue.
The minister was speaking after inaugurating a Gram Sabha organised by the Department of Rural Development at Ramban, which was attended by thousands of representatives of various villages of the district.
Minister of state for Rural Development Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Legislator, Vikar Rasool and Ashok Kumar, besides Director, Rural Development Department, Jammu and District Development Commissioner Ramban were present on the occasion. While condemning the alleged sacrilege of the holy Koran, the minister said that people should not pay heed to rumours being propagated by vested interests. He said that pastor, Terry Jones had postponed the un-parliamentary act and action committed by some persons should not be takes as that committed by majority of the people belonging to that particular community. "We appeal to the people not to pay heed to the false propaganda and maintain peace and order and live in harmony with other sections as has been the hallmark of our state and culture," he added.
Sagar further said that the separatists and other parties should not live in isolation but come forward to talk; as history stands testimony the fact that various vexed issues throughout the world has been solved through dialogue. While highlighting the role played by various flagship schemes of the RDD in alleviating poverty and changing the rural landscape in the state, he said that an amount of Rs 34 crore has been earmarked for the district under MG NREGA and 6495 households have been provided job cards and 1541 works have been approved under this scheme. Vikas Rasool and Ashok Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
