Hindi fortnight celebrations continue

Jammu, Sep 15: Hindi fortnight is being celebrated in the office of Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle, Jammu and all other subordinate offices w.e.f. 14.9.2010 to 28.9.2010. On 14th September, 2010 Hindi Diwas was celebrated in the office of the Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle .
On the occasion Y.P.S. Mohan, Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle, Jammu read out the messages received from Home Minister, Govt. of India and the Secretary Department of Posts, New Delhi and spoke on the effective implementation of official language policy. He urged all officers and staff members to work in Hindi so that the targets fixed for its effective implementation are achieved.
on the occasion of the 'Hindi Diwas' Rajbhasha-fortnight was celebrated in NABARD Jammu and Kashmir Regional Office, Jammu from 1st September to 14 September, 2010 M.L sukhdeve, Chief General manager, appealed to staff members to use Rajbhasha in their regular work. Messges of Union Home Minister, chairman and Managing Director of NABARD were read out. During the Rajbhasha fortnight, competitions in Hindi were organized and all the staff-members took part actively. A poetic-recitation competition was also organized and staff members of NABARD , read-out their as well as, poems of prominent Hindi poets. Dr. Kiran Bakshi, and president of renowned Hindi organization of Jammu, "Hindi Sahitya Mandal" was the chief guest of the function. Samriti Bhagat, Asstt. General Manager presented the progress-report of Hindi. Dr.Bakshi called. Fronter Headquarters, Border Security Forces (BSF) also observed Hindi Day which has presided over by DIG, Sidharth Chattopandhyay, Deputy commandant, Hoshiar Singh, general supervisor of national language and inspector, Kailash Chander Mathpal, organized a fortnightly prgoramme from September 1 to 15 in which Centre, Headquarter, Sunderbani was awarded first prize and a trophy for use a Hindi language in office for maximum period in the year 2009-10. The BSF personnel who secured first, second and third position in various competitions were awarded cash prize and appreciation cards by DIG.
Students of Shangrilla Hr. Sec. School, Sarwal celebrated Hindi Diwas. Student recited poems, verses & biographies of renounced hindi poets and authors during the function. A debate was also held on different topics.
Prabha Devi head of department hindi language motivated and persuaded the students to use hindi in every field of life as language.
Hindi Diwas was celebrated by Government Degree College, Ramban(GDC) today in which students ,staff and citizens of the area took participation .Professor Pinki Manhas inaugurated the secession and highlighted the importance of the Hindi language in the age of global knowledge. Among students Naina Dewi and Sulakhna Katoch recited the verses of Sant Kabir . Sheetal ,Naina, Pritika, Leela and Kritika Gupta said that 14 September is celebrated as Hindi Diwas day as on this very day it got constitutional status. Hindi language, according to the speaker, has its origin from Aryan Bhasha.
Speaking on the occasion Doctor GQ Sheikh said that he could even read and write up to thirteen, but now up to thirtees he got proficiency in Hindi language and most of his books at BEd level are translated in Hindi Language. He said that he feel personally delighted that most of the people speak and write Hindi. He further said that he is proud of Hindi as National language. Professor Kalpana Kesar who is also the principal of the college said that Hindi was initially adopted as optional language but soon after attaining Independence it gradually became medium of communication and symbol of culture and Heritage. In the end of the session Professor Tauseer presented vote of thanks.
