State BJP leaders attend national media workshop

Jammu, Sept 15: A three member media team from Jammu and Kashmir participated in 2-day BJP National Media Workshop held at Constitution Club, New Delhi. This team comprised of State Spokesperson Dr. Nirmal Kamal, State Press Secretary Balbir Ram and Media Co-Convenor Lalit Moza.
The workshop was meant to sharpen and enhance the talent and the working methods of the various persons associated with the media cells and directly related with the media acros the country.
In his inaugural address of this Workshop, BJP National President Nitin Gadkari, focussed on the importance of the media in this era of IT and explained in details the ways and means to be adopted by the party's media related people to ensure that the ideology, principles, stand on issues of local, national and international importance reach the masses in the shortest time and in a very easy way. He also drew attention towards the importance of 'Karyakarta' for the party and described a party worker as its basic building block who remain for long unlike MLAs, MPs, Ministers, leaders etc. The 2-day workshop consisted of various sessions on aspects like the present media scenario, TV Media and politics, meeting the challenge of difficult and aggressive questions, how to undertake research initiatives for media interactions, televsion appearance and performance, print media and politics etc. These topics were elucidated and explained by BJP stalwarts like Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Gopinath Munde, Prakash Javadekar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Balbir Punj, Syed Shahnazaz Hussain, Ram Nath Kovind, Tarun Vijay and Vinay Sahstrabudde in different sessions. A total of 118 delegates from different states of the country took part in this Workshop.
BJP Parliamentary Party chairman L.K. Advani, addressed the closing session. He asked these delegates to make maximum use of the modern and latest techniques in their field of work in order achieve the desired results.
