| Girdawar, Patwari get bail | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 15: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu AK Koul today granted bail to Gian Chand Girdawar and Munshi Ram Patwari who were caught red-handed by VOJ Team on Sunday while accepting Rs 2500 as bribe for issuing Khasra Girdawari.
The Court while granting the bail observed that the state has not been able to make out a case for rejecting of bail and to the contrary there are sufficient grounds for granting bail to the petitioner as the liberty of citizen is recorded highest by law and curtailing it meaninglessly wound amount infraction of the valuable right available to an individual. So the petition is allowed and directed to the release the petitioners from custody provided they furnished bail bond to the tune of Rs 25000 each and surety bond in the like amount. ----JNF |
