In a joint statement issued here today PDP leader and MLA Mendhar Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan and MLA Darhal Choudhary Zulfikar regretted that killings of innocent have been going unabated but the government was still taking cosmetic action just to befool the people. They lamented that highhandedness of the forces has been now started in the areas which remained peaceful during the last three months. PDP leaders warned that killing of innocent people would add fuel to the violence. They said that at the one side Omar Abdullah claimed that he has asked security forces to maximum restrain while on the other hand killings of innocent have been going unabated. They demanded stern action against those security personnel who were involved in committing such heinous crimes. They also demanded compensation to the victims of the violence. Both the PDP MLAs appeal to the people to remain calm and to strengthen communal harmony and brotherhood at this crucial juncture. |
