JAMMU: Eleven Vaishno Devi pilgrims, including five women, were wounded when the Bolero jeep in which they were travelling last night skidded off the Narwal bypass road near Bagh-e-Bahu and fell into a gorge. The incident occurred at about 11.30 pm when the Bolero (HP12D/1186) was on its way from Katra to Himachal Pradesh (HP). Police identified the injured as Shiv Kumari, Hari Shankar, Raj Rani, her son Rakesh, Ganga Devi, Sunita, Dhruv Vijay, Gulab Chand and Sundra, all residents of Uttar Pradesh, Avtar Singh of HP and Hira Lal of Bihar. They were admitted to GMC hospital. |
