POWERGRID organizes free medical health checkup camp | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 16: Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Power Grid Corporation of India organized a free medical and health checkup camp at 800/400/220 kV Kishenpur substation. Camp was inaugurated by General Manager (O&M) Northern Region transmission System- II Jagmohan Sharma. In the presence of Deputy General Manager Substation R.H. Zaidi and other senior officials of POWERGRID, around 600 people availed the benefits of the camp. Free medicines were distributed among all the patients. Clinical Laboratory facility was also provided during the camp. Power Grid Corporation of India ltd is a Government of India enterprise managing 77,500 circuit Kms of transmission network and 132 nos. of EHVAC & HVDC sub-stations with a total transformation capacity of 89,500 MVA. POWERGRID wheels about 50 % of total power generated in the country through its transmission network. Team of Doctors headed by BMO Dansal Rajeev Sharma, which included specialists in Gynecology, dentistry, Pediatrics. Neurology and General medicine checked the local needy people. Tea and snacks were also served in the camp. Prominent citizens of Kishenpur were present on the occasion. They appreciated the role of POWERGRID in development of Kishenpur Village and submitted new proposals which could be considered for future Corporate Social responsibility schemes. POWERGRID authorities agreed to look into these proposals.
