It has also appreciated the people for maintaining peace and communal brotherhood during the present crises, however demanded immediate arrest of the SDPO Mendher and his 4 body guards.

He said that MCC is thankful for all Muslim organizations and especially Hindu and Sikh community for their support in condemning human rights violation in Mendher area where cops had fired on peaceful protestors on Wednesday. Dar said that on Friday they are also planning to hold peaceful protest rally to show our anger against innocent killings at Mendher. "We came to know that police has lodged FIR against Sub Divisional Police Officer Vivek Gupta and his 4 body guards and the same have still not being arrested. "We demand to arrest these police officers at the earliest and take stern action against them", he said adding that although police in Rajouri and Poonch had controlled law and order situation, there are some cops who disturbed the situation by opening fire on the civilian. He said that when the protest rally was peaceful there was no need to use force against protestors in Mendher.
Condemning killings, he said that although Rajouri people have shown its tolerance but they are being provoked to come on streets again and again. He said that police firing on peaceful demonstrators in Mendhar is unjustified and police should immediately arrest the culprits. He however appealed the people not to turn violent.
