| INIFD students to participate in 'Lakme Fashion Week' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 16: To get an insight into the new trends in fashion world three students from INIFD, Ritika Raina, Harpeet Kaur and Avantika, Kotwal today left for Mumbai along with their collections to participate in 'Lame Fashion Week', held at grand Hyatt from September 18 to 22nd,2010.
The selection of the students design shows that there is immense talent and creativity but just needs to be tapped and given a platform.
The designs of Ritika, Harpeet and Avantika were selected by a panel of 20 celebretities and amongst more than 1000 designs.
It is indeed a matter of pride for these students to have their designs shown along with the designs of other big designers like Manish Malhotra, Neeta Lullah, Ritu Kumar, Manish Arora, Ji Wallaya etc.
While seeing off the students for Mumbai the Centre Head Vanita Thakur appreciated the effort of here dedicated staff, who could bring out the creativity of here students to a national and International level. |
