Akhnoor, Sept16: Members of Tanda Tigers Force met at Tanda today and condemned burning of Holy Quran by anti social and anti religious elements in America and appealed to the people of Mendhar & Rajouri and Poonch districts not to be swayed by harmful and sensational propaganda with regards to the burning of Holy Quran.
"The news seems to be fabricated and mischievous as reported by some news channels which indicate that the news was planted to create more violence in J&K" they said. While desecration of Holy Quran is highly condemnable where ever it may be, resorting to violent agitation and targeting missionaries who have nothing to do with this incident is also condemnable; they stated.
The meeting which was convened at Tanda by K P Singh soon after learning about tragic death of 3 young boys expressed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of those who are in hospitals.
K P Singh, who is recipient of military award as a civilian, has worked a lot in Rajouri and Poonch area along with GS Charak, ex Minister & Ch. Lal Singh, MP in the formation of Dogra Brotherhood Association and appealed people to maintain peace and not to indulge in destructive activities because vested interest seem to have shifted their game plan from the valley to calm Rajouri - Poonch to disturb peace and to dent communal harmony.
We will be wise if we guard against these nefarious elements by exercising wisdom and restraint, he stated.
They requested all communities not to fall prey to rumours at a critical time when the valley is burning instead should endeavour to maintain existing brotherhood and communal harmony in border areas.
