All party meet on Kashmir an excercise in futility: Prof Chaman Lal
9/16/2010 11:43:03 PM
early times report
Jammu, Sept 16: The leader of the BJP Legislature Party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta has termed the outcome of the All Party's meet at Delhi as an exercise in futility. Interacting with the party functionaries of his Constituency, Jammu West, Prof. Gupta said that different parties are having their own set views and the outcome of the New Delhi meet clearly indicates that the Congress and its fellow traveler viz. the National Conference having failed to govern in the troubled Valley of Kashmir, the ruling leaders by holding such meets are trying to cover up their own follies and failures. Such steps are nothing more than finding escape routes. He said that what is happening in Kashmir, is the result of the failure of the Coalition to enforce law and order but the manner in which the ruling leaders of New Delhi as also that of the State are acting, is not only mysterious but deplorable as far as the security and the integrity of the country is concerned. They are toying with ideas and steps which have little relevance with the serious situation in which the nationalists and right thinking masses have been made hostages, who are needed to be freed from the clutches of the extremists and enemy agents. About the New Delhi meet, Prof. Gupta said that little attention was devoted to the real problems of this State. These are cross-border terror as part of the proxy war launched by the hostile neighbour, the discrimination against Jammu and Ladakh as also the problems of the migrants from Kashmir Valley and other parts of the State.
