| BAJ suspends work over Poonch violence | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sept 16 : Bar Association Jammu today suspended work in protest against burning of court at Mendhar and asked the authorities for proper and adequate security to Courts in the State.
In an emergency meeting of Executive Committee, the BAJ expressed concern over buring of court building including Church at Mendhar. BAJ condemned the act of arson and mob violence.
BAJ also condemned the action of administration for registering FIR against police officials without ascertaining circumstances leading to the firing. It is felt that it would have been better to hold a departmental enquiry before the fixing the responsibility of said incident.
The morale of forces will go down and ultimately effect law an order. --JNF
