| GDC RS Pura students boycott classes | | | Early Times Report
R S PURA Sept 17: Students of Government Degree College (GDC), R S Pura, boycotted their classes in protest against police administration.
They gathered in front of college and took out a peaceful protest rally.
The students led by Surjit Chowdhary Chairman National Secular Forum (NSF) Jammu District unit and Balvinder Chowdhary expressed shock and deep concern over the attack on Vikas Sharma, NSF president on Jammu University campus despite the presence of police personnel there. Surjit questioned about the utility of 54 police personnel if a person like Sharma can be attacked in full public view. Surjit Chowdhary welcomed the decision of Vice Chancellor for providing security on both entrances of University campus and forming the security committee to look after the university security scenario. Among those who were present in the protest included Ajay Chowdhary, Rahul Sharma, Raman Kumar, Happy Sharma, Rocky Chowdhary and Som Prakash.
