| Education tour for children of north kashmir to mumbai and goa | | | Early Times Reprot
Udhampur,Sept 17: An educational tour is being organised by Headquarters 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Kilo Force for school children of the Kilo Force Area of Responsibility to Mumbai and Goa. The tour aims to expose these young impressionable minds to the world outside the valley, providing opportunities and understanding and enabling them to identify more closely with their fellow countrymen.
During this 14 days tour, students will meet prominent film personalities and his Excellency, the Governor of Maharashtra apart from visiting places of interest like Gateway of India, Hotel Taj, Haji Ali Dargah, Marine Drive, Chaupati and Nehru Planetarium at Mumbai. During the visit to Goa, besides visiting places of interest, these students will meet his Excellency, the Governor of Goa and a ride in a ferry in high seas of the Indian ocean. The students selected for tour were very happy and enthusiastic during flag off ceremony organised at Headquarters 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles on 16 Sep 2010 at Hyderbeigh. The tour was flagged off by Brig MS Jaswal, SM, Commander 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles. During the ceremony parents of these children and many civil dignitaries were also present.
