| CM reviews functioning of Waqf Board | | | Srinagar, October 27, – The Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad presided over the 7th meeting of Board of Directors of J&K Board of Specified Waqf and specified properties here on today. The others who were present in the meeting include Minister for Hajj and Auqaf and Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, Mufti-Azam Kashmir, Mufti Azam Mufti Bashir-ud-Din, Chief Executive Waqf Board Syed Altaf Hussain Indrabi, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Mr. Basharat Ahmad besides Professor Syed Mohammad Toyub Kambli, Dr. Sidiq Wahid, Mr. G.A. lone, Dr. Nusrat Indrabi, Mr. Muzaffar Ahmad Khan, Dr. Mohammad Amin Masoodi, Dr. Mohammad Yousuf and Mohammad Ashraf Indrabi members of the Waqf board. The meeting had a detailed discussion on various issues pertaining to appointment of Imams, Beautification and expansion of Hazratbal Shrine, renovation of Aali Masjid, handing over of Baitul-Zaireen from tourism departmentat Baba Reshi to Waqf Board, reconstruction of Mosques, appointment of faculty members of Bibi Halima College of Nursing and Medical Technology, adoption of Mantaqi Memorial Waqf Higher Secondary School Awantipora by Islamic University of Science and Technology and upgradation of Schools. The Chief Minister advised Waqf Board members that they should ensure that after every 3 months Board of Directors meeting should be held to review the working of Waqf Board.
