JSM seeks re-organization of J&K
9/17/2010 10:00:14 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 17: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has opined that permanent solution of Jammu and Kashmir imbroglio lies in the re-organization of state by dividing it into three political units with separate legislative, administrative and financial powers.
In a handout issued here today, JSM leaders have said that reorganization would apart from addressing aspirations of the people of all the three regions, bring to an end agony of the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions who have always suffered at the hands of Kashmiri rulers.
It has further demanded that proposed All Party delegation should meet a cross-section of all political and social organizations in Jammu and Ladakh regions to ascertain their views on how to solve the present crises. Morcha has affirmed that people of Jammu and Ladakh regions univocally and unambiguously want freedom from the Kashmiri politicians. It has said that they have rejected proposal of autonomy and self-rule under the present dispensation.
Jammu State Morcha expressed surprise over the decision of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah not to attend the all party meet convened by Prime Minister to discuss the situation. JSM has sought sacking of the present coalition government and imposition of Governor’s rule to restore normalcy and confidence in the minority communities in the various regions of the state. Others who were present during the press conference included Capt. Anil Gour, Chandra Uday Sharma, Balwinder Singh, Devinder Singh Jamwal, Surjit Singh and Mukesh Raina.
