| Shastri hail release of DA to central employees pensioners | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 17: President of the National Mazdoor Conference, Subash Shastri, has hailed the decision of the union cabinet in releasing the installment of 10% DA due from July this year in favour of central govt. Employees and pensioners.
Commenting on the decision Shastri term it as working class friendly decision.
Shastri also appealed the Chief minister, Omar Abdullah to release the same Installment of DA to its employees and pensioners at the earliest so that employees and pensioners could get some relief from the rising prices of essential commodities.
Shastri further urged Omar to formulate the policy where under DA installments are released in favour of its employees and pensioners of J&K state along with the Central Government. He said delay in releasing DA installments accumulate financial burden on the Government on one hand and increase the hardship of the salaried class.
Shastri also hoped that Chief Minister would pay his special attention to the other pending demands of the working class especially removed of all anomalies in the SRO 93 and those of the workers who have been employed as daily wages but were not regularized even after the expiry of seven to fifteen years of there working. He said that the plight of such workers taken into account are getting over aged and more so those rises in the prices of the essential commodities have meet their life miserable.
