Jan reviews law order situation in Poonch and relax in curfew

Poonch, Sept 17: The MLA Haveli Aijaz Jan sought a detailed review of the prevailing law and order situation in the town prior to the mass congregational Friday prayers to avoid any mischief on part of elements who want the situations to go out of control. And He also discuss with the District Administration that in view of no recent violation of curfew in poonch town Spl. During relax time 4:30Pm to 7 PM it should be lifted that a common man should not suffer any more.The MLA offered his Friday prayers at a local mosque and offered special prayers for the peace and harmony to prevail . The ullemas delivered sermons from all mosques of town for maintainence of peace in town and requested the muslim brethren to show patience and spread the message of islam in bringing peace.The civil society meet which was organized on 16 th of September to deliberate
upon the present situation in presence of District Administration & prominent citizens to suggest the measures to maintain communal harmony and pace in town was quite successful as the assurances given by all were positive.
During the meeting of the prominent citizens held at Dak Banglow Poonch
the legislator expressed his shock over the sudden turmoil in Mendhar town and expressed his deep concern and condolences for the people killed and injured during the day long protests in town where top brass of police and civil administration Divisional Commissioner Jammu, IGP Jammu. have been deputed on the directions of Hon’ble Chief Minister Jb Omar Abdullah to diffuse the tension and assure the public that govt is aware of their grief and will do its best to provide immediate relief to bereaved families

He said that news of holy Qurans desecration has hurt public sentiment and was not a continuation of Kashmir crisis in valley. He made an appeal to the masses for maintaining communal harmony and
traditional relationship. He appealed to people of all religions to maintain communal harmony. Agencies have been directed to make full preparations and ensure that law and order is not disturbed. He thanked the civil administration, Army authorities and Prominent Citizens for their professional attitude in tackling the present crisis which could have otherwise easily taken a serious turn
