| Raju gets affectionate adieu at PHQ | | | Srinagar October 27-An affectionate send-off was given to Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) Mr.Radhavinod Raju on his deputation to Central Buerau of Investigation (CBI),New Delhi as a Joint Director at an impressive farewell function held under the chairmanship of Director General of Police, Mr.Gopal Sharma at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today. Senior police officers including Inspector General of Police (Headquarters) Mr. J.A. Makhdoomi and other PHQ staff members were present. Speaking on the occasion, the Director General of Police, Mr.Gopal Sharma appreciated the qualities of head and heart and professional acumen of Mr.Raju and recalled his association with him spanning nearly three decades. He said Mr. Raju is not only an expert of high reputes in investigating toughest cases but he is also a great human being that has endeared him to all who so comes into his contact. Mr Sharma wishing Mr.Raju all success to him in his new assignment as Joint Director of a premier police organization like CBI where he has already made a mark and hoped that he would achieve still more excellence with the hard work and dedication to his profession that is his hall-mark and bring laurels to the Jammu and Kashmir Police. Reciprocating the sentiments expressed by the Director General of Police and Inspector General of Police (Headquarters), Mr Raju thanked all ranks and file of the Police Organization in Jammu and Kashmir for extending him full support, cooperation in discharge of his duties in various capacities during the past three decades. He made a particular mention of the Director General of Police for his valuable guidance and support at all points of time. He also thanked Mr. Makhdoomi and another officers and staff of PHQ for their cooperation and support to him, adding that sweet memories of his colleagues in the state police are a great treasure he is carrying a long. He also expressed his confidence that with the sincere efforts of one and all Jammu and Kalshmir is surely usher into lastjng peace and prosperity soon. Earlier in his address, the Inspector General of Police, Mr J.A. Makhdoomi said that deputation of Mr. Raju to CBI will certainly enrich that organization with his rich experience and top professional commitment; however the state police organization will certainly miss his absence. He appreciated the work ethics of Mr.Raju and guidance he always give to his juniors wherever sought for.
