| Charak asks people to cooperate for completion of dev works | | | JAMMU, OCTOBER 27 -Minister for Roads and Buildings Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak said that coalition Government is fully committed to provide basic amenities to all sections of the society equally. This was stated by the Minister while chairing a meeting of Transport Welfare Association here this evening. Among other present include Municipal Commissioner Mr. Vinod Sharma, R&B Chief Engineer Mr. M.M.Sharma Additional District Development Commissioner, Mr. Sourav Bhagat, Presdent Industries and Commerce Mr. Ram Sahai and President Transport Welfare Association Sarder Balgeet Singh.. At the meeting the members of the association put fourth demands which include fixing of jurisdiction of Transport Nagar, conducting of repair and renovation of roads besides black topping and to improve the lighting system. Proper cleanliness arrangements may also be made and the lanes and drains be depended so that people do not face inconvenience during rainy season. They also demanded for installation of dustbins and deployment of adequate number of Safi Karamcharies. The open nallahs be covered with slabs besides the area be brought under the various schemes and programmes of the Asian Development Bank and World Bank. Mr Charak sought the cooperation of the local populace for completion of development works in time and asked the accompanying engineers to complete them in time so that benefits reach to masses. He asked them to use only quality material in the construction saying that bad-workmanship would not be tolerated in any circumstances. |
