Revocation of AFSPA cannot bring peace in Kashmir: PK | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 18: Ahead of the visit of All party delegation to Kashmir valley, Panun Kashmir today said that situation in the Valley cannot improve by amending, diluting or revoking Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) under the prevailing circumstances. Addressing a press conference here today, Chairman of the Panun Kashmir Dr Chrungoo said that it is very important to understand game plan of the separatists forces in Kashmir valley. "Any mistake in understanding the content and contours of separatism in Jammu and Kashmir may prove disastrous for the unity and integrity of the Indian nation as a sinister design to balkanise India is on the cards". Reiterating stand of the Kashmiri pandit organisation Dr Chrungoo said the demand for diluting or revoking AFSPA has nothing to do with the improvement of situation in Kashmir but is a part of the sinister campaign for demilitarisation of Jammu and Kashmir. "We will strongly oppose any change in the AFSPA and appeal to the political class of India to keep the Indian army out of any political considerations", he added. Pesident of All state Kashmiri Pandit Solidarity Conference (ASKPSC) ON Trisal, who was also present, said that an atmosphere of absolute insecurity exists in the valley for all the minorities living there. If we cannot visit our homeland and stay there how can we dream of even returning to our homeland under prevailing circumstances, said Trisal.
