| Nine-member delegations meet Mir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Sept 19: A nine members delegation of Bharat, Bangladesh and Pakistan People’s Forum met last evening with Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir who is also president of Democratic Nationalist Party. The Forum discussed the agenda for bringing people of sub-continent together.
The delegation was led by Dr. Sunaliam. The Forum through the light of their activities is for connecting the people of sub-continent under one umbrella by way of organizing seminars, debates, discussions, conferences and other programmes to share the ideas with each others for bringing peace and prosperity in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mir said that it is a ripe time for civil social society, intellectuals, academicians and political leaders of all shades of opinion of the region to sit together to discuss the ways and means for bringing peace and prosperity in South-Asian region. He said that the peace is the only way out to make the people of sub-continent as one of the prosperous region in the world. He hailed the initiatives taken by Forum for the same.
The Minister informed the Forum that the State Government is taking every step for bringing peace and normalcy in the State particularly in Valley.
