| IGNOU session for PGJMC to begin from Oct. 8 Jammu, | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu,Sept 19: The acadmic session of Indira Gandthi National Open University ( IGNOU ) for post- Graudaute course of Journalism and Mass Communication ( PGJMC ) will commence from October 9 ,2010 at study centre , Jammu University campus, Jammu.
During the course, 22 students will be imparted training in print and electronic media.
The Coordinator, IGNOU study centre Jammu (1201), Prof. Ashok Aima , who is also Dean , Managements Studies has issued the schedule for the session starting from October 9.
The Academic Counselor , O P Sharma , a veteran Journalist will be delivering series of lectures on theory and practical aspects of mass media .
IGNOU has already supplied comprehensive study material designed by the professional experts for the study by the students of this one year specialized course through distance mode of education
During the training period, the students are taken to some newspapers and electronic media units for imparting practical insight and also interaction with the professionals in Jammu, winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir State.
