| BJYM continues protest against autonomy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,Sept 19:In continuation of the BJP’s programme to protest proposal of autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir, Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) staged massive protest demonstration at City Chowk. BJYM activists organized a protest rally started from Purani Mandi and culminated at City Chowk.
The protesters were led by Mnumanav Mahajan BJYM Jammu East Mandal President and torched the copies of Autonomy.
Speaking on the occasion, Distt. Jammu BJYM President Munish Khajuria said that the State, Kashmir valley in particular, is passing through very hard times as there is total confusion and lack of governance, which has encouraged the anti-national elements to do whatever they wish. Developmental activities have come to standstill.
Outrightly rejecting the autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir, he said, “Autonomy is unacceptable to the people of Jammu, Ladakh and nationalists of Kashmir”. ‘Accession of J&K with India is full and final and there is no room for autonomy in Jammu and Kashmir’, BJYM leaders said, adding, “Central leadership of BJP is very serious over autonomy issue”.
Mnumanav Mahajan said repeated attempts to raise the issue of Autonomy by the Chief Minister is a calculated move to divert the attention of the masses from the real issues facing the state.
“Since Autonomy document was totally rejected by the then NDA at the centre and now it has become a dead thing of the past and have no validation now”, he added.
Ravi Mehra, Mohan Lal Dafara, Munish Gupta, Ajay Magotra, Naveen Dogra, Tarun Sharma, Keshav Chopra, Naresh Mahajan, Ashish Sharma, Varun Malhotra, Sunil Sharma, Vivek Kumar, Raj Kumar and Puran Kumar were prominent among those who took part in the protest demonstration.
