Primary education must in Mother Tongue: Mahinder | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU Sept 19: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teacher’s Federation held a meeting of educationalists here on Sunday. The General Secretary, Akhil Bhartiya Shakisk Maha Sangh, Mahinder Kapoor was Chief Guest on the occasion and the meeting was presided over by Bhushan S Verma while Mukand Lal Sharma was special guest. Distinguished educationalist analyzed the importance of ‘Primary education in Mother Tongue’. While addressing media, Mohinder Kapoor said that education in Mother Tongue may help to raise the standard of education in country and remove stagnation at primary level. He invited the AJKLTF to attend the national executive meeting of Sangh to be held on 2nd and 3rd October at Jharkhand. Mukand Lal Sharma advised the employees to work for redressing the problems of common masses and fight for their own fundamental rights. President AJKLTF Bhushan Verma said that the education in Mother Tongue makes an easy task for students and it is the need of hour. Other speakers who speak on the occasion highlighted various issues pertaining to teachers and employees of Jammu and Kashmir. They demanded 20 days earned leave for vocational staff at the pattern of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab Government, transparent transfer policy, filling up of all vacant posts, strengthening of infrastructure in schools and honorarium of ReT and EGS be raised to Rs 10,000 and Rs 8,000 respectively. Others who addressed the meeting include Maheshwar Parsad, Ram Pal Shastri, Pardeep Kumar, Manjeet Singh, Ishwar Sharma, Parshotam Sharma, Ravinder Verma, Mohan Singh, Chhanga Ram, Harbajan Singh, Dharm Pal, Ravi Kaith and Surinder Singh Manhas.
