Suspected 'dengue' patient dies | | | Jammu: A three-year-old child died of suspected 'dengue' fever in SMGS Hospital. ''The deceased, who was undergoing treatment in SMGS hospital, died here last night,'' sources said. They said the girl was suffering from high fever and her platelets count in the blood was less. ''Nandini Sharma, daughter of Kuldeep Raj, resident of Marar Chak, Bishnah, who was gripped by high fever on Thursday was referred to the SMGS hospital, Jammu on Friday,'' sources said. ''Suspected 'dengue' fever could be the cause of death,'' official sources said. A team of experts have been asked to conduct a survey in village Marar Chak of tehsil Bishnah to ascertain reasons about the outbreak of the epidemic. |
