| Scrap dealer electrocuted | | | KATRA: A scrap dealer was electrocuted at Chintamani near here this morning.
Police sources said Jagdish Raj, son of Hari Singh, inadvertently touched a live wire in his rented room at Chintamani at about 11.30 am, resulting in his instant death.
Originally a resident of Gujarat, he was putting up at Chintamani for the past eight years. He was a scrap dealer and had set up his business well in Katra, the sources added.
His body was kept in the Katra hospital mortuary. Sources said his family members in Gujarat had been informed of his death.
Post-mortem would be conducted on the body after the arrival of his family members here. Later, it would be handed over to them for last rites.
Police had registered a case in this connection. |
