BJP will oppose reversal of integration process: Chaman

JAMMU ,Sept 20: BJP has regretted that instead of addressing the real problems in the valley of Kashmir and the difficulties of the people the coalition leaders, both of congress and that of the National conference, are raking up controversial issued just to cover up their own failures of governance and fulfill and their constitutional and moral obligations to enforce law and order. Addressing the party activists MLA, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta took strong to the statements of the Union Home Minister . P. Chidambram as also those of the NC referring to the promises made by centre and also the tinkering with the Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) although this was not the demand of the separatists who have made a hell of the life of the common man but for the total collapse of the government functioning and lacking the problems being created by the operators os cross border militancy coupled with the mob violence being engineered by religious fanatics and anti-national elements. Addressing a meeting of the activists at Paloura Gupta in connection with the preparations for celebrating the birth day of Deen Dayal Updhay, President of the erstwhile BJS. Paying rich tributes of to late Upadhay, he said that Deen Dayal Ji was a great patriot and visionary. Upadhay was opposed to any kind of communal division and mores, any kind of differential treatment to any part of the country because of communal considerations.
Referring to the problems in Jammu and Kashmir, MLA Gupta said that Upadhay was of the firm view that the Article-370 of the Indian constitution, though being a temporary provision but could lead to more and more problems and encourage communalism, secessionism and separatism. Assailing the statement of the Home Minister and those of the NC leaders Prof. Gupta recalled that when this temporary provision was incorporated in the constitution, may nationalists and visionaries including Moulana Azad had raised their doubts. But the then Prime Minister last Jawahar Lal Nehru had loudly promised that this provision would wither away with the passage of time. But the doubts of the visionaries are coming true and this pernicious provisions is not only persisting over after expiry of over 60 years but this communal outlook has come to be big challenge now for the unity and integrity of the country, he added and alleged that the congress by cheating the nationalist India had. He retreated the party pledge that any reversal of the integration process would be opposed tooth and nail as the country can hardly afford any more communal division. He said that agitations in Kashmir are demanding something else but the congress and NC are working for something else. The meeting was also attended by Surinder Sharma, Krishan Lal Gupta, and others.
