Leh flood victims | POML distribute 2400 liters of edible oil | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 20: Puri oil Mills Limited (POML) has joined hands with all Ladakh Students Association NGO to share the sorrow of the people of Leh. The company has forward its hand to help them by getting involved in relief activities in whatever small way it could have to reach to the people who are affected by the disaster. Company has distributed 2400 liters (1200 packs) of edible oil with other good materials in Far-Flung areas in Leh and decided to do what ever the organization could possible have for rehabilitation of the victims of widespread destruction and dislocation. Vivek Puri, Managing Director, or Mills said, "We are deeply shocked by this natural disaster and the havoc it has wrought in Leh. The loss of lives the destruction of people's heath and home has left us anguished, more so because we have, for decades, been very close to the people in the state. Jammu is an integral part of our coporate heritage that's where we started from. That's why we felt that we had to get involved to do whatever wo could to alleviate the suffering of the affected people. This is a very small effort on our part to help the people in Leh to face these tough and arduous times. "POML is grateful that i9t was able to be of some service to the people of Leh in their hour of need," he adds.
