| DDC reviews Law, order situation in Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, Sept 20: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kuldeep Lal Khajuria took a review of law and order situation in the officers meeting held here today that the curfew in Poonch town has been lifted while the curfew in Mendhar town was lifted for three hours and the overall situation in Mendhar town remain under control. Keeing in view the expected verdict on Ram Janam Bhomi-Babri Masjid on 24th of September. The DDC asked the public to show restrain and patience at this movement and not to over react on the verdict. He further asked that public to maintin communal harmony and peaceful atmosphere. He said that the stern actios shall be taken against those who will try to take the law in their hands. While taking the administrative measures he divided the District into 26 zones and deployed 26 officers in the respective areas. They will be assisted by various officers. The zonal officers are directed that they shall keep liaison with the administration and the public. He directed the sect oral officers to constitute the peace committees comprising of all the religion, sects and groups residing there.
