Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park in dilapidated condition

Kathua, Sept 20: Several people of the different organizations have expressed their deep regret over the decaying condition of the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park situated on the bank of Ravi canal just near the DC office Kathua.
The representatives have said that since the park is the central attraction of the beauty of Kathua in which statues of three great heroes namely Shamed Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru, and Sukhdev stand is in dilapidated condition which calls for government attention.
The further said that the historical heroes who laid their valuable lives in very young age for the cause of not only nation but for entire human society of the world by spreading their messages to fight for freedom and justice are being treated very inhumanly. They further said that the park has not been developed properly and not fenced all around due to which cattles and other unwanted things easily enter to smash whatever park contains.
They also said that the since this park is full of rush of people but there is no proper light facility, the seats are very less than required in actual number and even no proper management is done to keep the park healthy. It was hence urged from all the people to district administration to take serious notice on the worsening conditioning of the park day by day and provide drinking water, canteen facility and to manage the statues of three heroes of the country.
The senior most activist of the Democratic Movement Vijay Singh, Ashok Khajuria, general secretary of Congress district Kthua S.Bhupinder Singh district president of NPP Ravinder Pathania, and the district president of Kranti Dal Sushil Gupta represented the joint forum.
