| CPI (M) meets all party team, put forth demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,Sept 21:-A delegation of Regional Committee CPI(M), Jammu comprising of Comrades Sham Prasad Kesar, Regional Secretary, Om Prakash, Javaid Zargar, Kishore Kumar and Banarsi Dass met All Party Delegation at Jammu and put forth its view point in respect of prevailing political uncertainity in the state.
The Committee has expressed concern over the recent spate of killings of young people in Kashmir. The Committee demanded restoration of autonomy to the state. They also demanded adherence to zero tolerance as assured by Prime Minister from time to time, employment package for unemployed youth of the state.
They also demanded recommendations made by Five Working Groups constituted by GOI need to be implemented at the earliest, construction of identified power projects on River Chenab and Jehlum need to be expedited for speedy development and generation of job opportunities for youth of the state, recommendation in respect of handing over of 390 MW Dul Hasti Power project to the State made by the Working Group headed by Dr.C.Rangarajan should be implemented in letter and spirit.

Other demands included improvement in living conditions of Kashmiri migrants in the camps till their rehabilitation in the valley, enhancement of cash relief to at least Rs.8000/- per month as recommended by the state government, settlement of pension cases in time, issuing of orders for candidates selected recently by the Service Selection Board and expediting the process of selection of remaining 3000 posts for migrants. They also putforth problems of refugees of 1947, 1965 and 1971 .
