| Police-public meet held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER

To interact with the general public and to discuss/redress their problems and to further strengthen the concept of police-public relations a police public meet was held at Purmandal, Vijaypur by the Rajinder Gupta, SSP Border Jammu last evening.
The aim and object of the meeting was to discuss and acquaint with the problems of the inhabitants of the area.
The participants were exhorted to help police in eradicating the social evils from the society by way of sharing correct and timely information with police. They are apprised of the present security scenario and sudden spurt in militant activity in J&K as well as other parts of the country and the need to remain extra vigilant.
The participants put forth number of demands some of which were redressed on spot, they were assured that rest of the demands would be taken up with concerned quarters at appropriate time.
