Udhampur,Sept 21: A series of meetings of Congress workers were conducted by the former Minister and Vice President PCC Yash Paul Khajuria and MLA. Krishan Chander Bhagat in villages Nagolta, Kharrian, Dhanas, Chajj, Matlova and Pattan Garh.
Yash Paul Khajuria disclosed that on September 23, a big Congress workers rally is being organised at Bus stand Chenani in which Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee President Prof. Saifuddin Soz along with Ministers, Vice Chairmen of different Boards, MLC’s and PCC functionaries are going to address the.
In the meetings, the congress workers raised the demands of upgradation of Middle School Nohti, Middle School Chaneal to High Schools. They demanded up-gradation of High Schools Kharrian and Pattan Garh to 10+2 School. They also demanded the
up-gradation of Sub-Centre to dispensaries at villages Nohti and Pattan Garh and an Ambulance for village Kharian.
Later, a veterinary hospital was demanded at Kharrian to cater the need of this area for the timely and proper treatment of the live stock. They demanded electrification in mohras Dhody Chot, Sanot, Nakhanka, Khunel, Dudaal and Dobu and a separate electric transformer in moharas Kothru in Matlove village.

While addressing in the meetings, Sh. Yash Paul Khajuria urged the government to provide compensation to the farmers for the loss of their crops and vegetables and for the repair of their houses.
He urged the government to upgrade High School Dhanas upto 10+2 which is on the other side of the river Tawi where more than 20,000 population in a stretch of 90km have no facility of 10+2 school. Most of the poor children boys and girls are unable to keep continue their studies after matriculation. He also assured the workers to take up all these issues of roads, electricity, water dispensaries with the concerned authorities to address the same at the earliest.
While addressing Sh. Krishan Chander Bhagat urged the concern authorities to register the names of the people under MG NREGA at all the morahas and Panchayat levels so that the people may get the work immediately. He also urged the government to increase the working days and also to increase the wages from Rs. 110 to Rs. 150 per day.
Other prominent leaders accompanied and addressed the meetings were S/Shri Ashok Bakshi, Gunjar Singh, Mohan Lal Gupta, Gopal Sharma, Vinod Mathur, Sarpanch Subash Chander, Sunit Singh, Missro Ram, Charan Dass, Inder Singh, Onkar Singh Sarpanch, Raman Kumar, Ramesh, Naseeb Sarpanch and others.
