| Amandeep Murder case Jagar Singh gets absolute bail | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sept 21 : Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu AK Koul today made granted absolute bail to Choudhary Jagar Singh allegedly involved in fudging of evidence in much publicized Amandeep Singh Murder case.
While granting absolute bail, the special court observed that this petition was pending since May, 2010 on which interim bail was granted in case FIR NO 275/2009 of P/S Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The matter has repeatedly been adjourned for state to file objections, but nobody appears to be interested in this matter on behalf of State. Resultantly the matter could not be disposed of finally.
Petitioner seeks anticipatory in FIR mentioned above under section 5(20 PC Act r/w section 161/165-A RPC registered at P/S Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The case appears to be registered in September, 2009 but till date nothing is known about the investigation nor is any one present on behalf of the state to inform the Court about the status of the investigation. The petitioner is on interim bail and there is no allegation on behalf of state that petitioner has flouted the conditions on which the bail was granted to him. Court does not see any reason to decline bail to petitioner, interim bail granted to petitioner on May 6, 2010 is made absolute with the direction that he will furnish personal bond in the amount of Rs 20,000 and surety bond in the like amount.
