RS XI wins by 6 wkts in Friendship T20 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 21: RS XI defeated Red Rose-B by six wickets to move into next round of the ongoing Friendship Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament, organised by J&K State Sports Council at Bana Singh Stadium, R S Pura today. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Red Rose-B lost all their wickets for 87 runs in 17.2 overs, which, in reply, R S XI chased in 11.4 overs for the loss of four wickets. Dheeraj was top scorer with 16 runs while extras added a big total of 46 runs. From R S XI, Sunny Gupta took four wickets while Deepu bagged two. Mani, Pintu and Lucky shared a piece each. Batting second, R S XI reached the required total for the loss of four wickets sparing 8.2 overs of their innings. Dheeraj was highest scorer with 13-ball 27 runs, followed by Anil and Rakesh with 18 and 14 runs in their respective accounts. From Red Rose-B, Sita Ram, Vishal and Suraj took one wicket each. For his four wickets haul, Sunny Gupta was adjudged man of the match. This match was officiated by Suresh Singh, Madan Mohan and Jagtar Singh as umpires while Pankaj Sasun was scorer.
