| Kashmir Sikh displaced forum hold meet | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 21: Kashmir Sikh Displaced Forum in a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Col (retd) Sheetal Singh took stock of the current developments taking place in Kashmir valley which have a direct bearing on the Sikh living in Kashmir and those who have been displaced from their homes and hearth due to turmoil continuing for the last 20 years. As per press release elections to frame an executive body of the forum were also held which were due for the last few months. R.S Bali conducted the proceedings and the general body was aksed to elect the members of the executive committee. In the meeting the office bearers were elected. Col. (retd) Sheetal Singh was elected as chief patron, S.K.C Singh Mehta as chairman, S.Charan Singh Bali as Vice chairman, S.Prem Singh as President, S.Sumair Singh as Sr.Vice President, S.Baldev Singh as Vice President, S.Randhir Singh as Publicity Secretary and S.Manjeet Singh as Treasurer. Speaking on the occasion Sheetal Sing appealed the Sikhs living in Kashmir to maintain communal harmony with their Muslim brothers and not get swayed by the rumors. He hoped that this phase will pass without harming the bonds of franternity and mutual love which both the communities have for each other since centuries.
