| Workshop on propagation of ‘Amla’ plant held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 21: a workshop regarding community awareness and training programme on promotions and propagation of Amla plants at Harya Chak and Chann Lal Din (Hira Nagar) Distt Kathua was organized by J&K state medicinal plants board here today. A large number of people especially the farmers from different villages participated in the tanning programme. MLA, Hira Nagar, Durga Dass also attended the workshop and exhorted upon the farmers to go for mass cultivation of Amla in view of its multifarious medicinal uses. Dr.Aftab Iqbal Mir in charge state medicinal plant board made people acquainted from the aims and objectives of the programme. V.K Bhat Range Officer, stte forests research institute, Dr.Suresh and Dr.Vikash the resources persons made the farmers conversant generally with the cultivation practices, management and specifically with the medicinal uses of Amla.
