On the occasion of 2500 years of emperor Ashok’s mahaparinirvana and 100 years of birth of Mahatma Ganshi’s Satyagraha Gandhian centre, Jammu University, MAM College, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti New Delhi and Aayam group of theatre in AAJ society are celebrating together the proven success of Non-violence in an age replete with weapons of mass destruction throughout the annals of the history of the world. Accordingly, SAMRAT the last war of Ashok has been planned to be staged at Abhinav Theatre on Monday, 30 Oct, 2006 at 5.00 PM.
This is legendry and enigmatic play of about 1 hour depicting historic transformation of the Emperor Ashok after his victory over Kalinga.
