| 2 electrocuted in Rajouri | | | RAJOURI: In unconnected incidents, two labourers were electrocuted at different places here today.
Police sources said Vinod Kumar, who was working at the residence of a PMGSY executive engineer Munir Khan in Ward No 9 here, was found lying dead in the house. He died due to electric short-circuit, the sources claimed. When the executive engineer was contacted, he said Vinod was engaged by a contractor in his house to work on the grinding machine.
The body of Vinod was removed to the district hospital mortuary by police. He hailed from Madhya Pradesh.
In the other incident, Nirmal Singh died of electric short-circuit at Jawahar Nagar while repairing a water pump. His body was too taken to the hospital mortuary. He hailed from Ludhiana in Punjab.
After post-mortem, the bodies were despatched their homes by police.
Cases in this connection stand registered at the concerned police stations. |
