2 women held with stolen jewellery

JAMMU: Two women were today arrested by Bagh-e-Bahu police for allegedly stealing gold jewellery from their neighbour's house at Lower Qasim Nagar, Narwal.
The accused were identified as Nisha, wife of Praveen, and Bholi Devi, wife of Suraj Kumar.
Police sources said Deepak Kumar of Lower Qasim Nagar lodged a complaint with Bagh-e-Bahu police that burglars broke into his house on August 18 last and decamped with gold ornaments of 13 tolas.
There was no one in the house when the burglary was committed, the sources added.
During the course of investigation, police developed suspicion about Nisha and Bholi and picked them up for questioning.
Sources said during their sustained questioning, they confessed to have committed the burglary. The stolen jewellery was also recovered from them, the sources added.
A case in this connection had been registered against the accused.
