| Inter-college handball tourney from Sept 27 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 22: Organised by the Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, annual inter-college handball tournament in both men and women sections shall start here on the campus from September 27.
In men's section, 14 teams have confirmed their participation in this knock-out event. In the first round, defending champion, MAM College and silver medalist, PG Departments of Arts have been given bye and shall be playing in the second round of quarterfinals on September 29.
Similarly, in women's section, only seven colleges have come forward in this three-day event. Winners Government College for Women (GCW), Parade and runners-up, PG Departments shall be playing directly in the semifinals.
The competition will be conducted in accordance to the laid down rules of the Association of Indian Universities. |
