BCC, Bala Chak Club win ties in T-20

JAMMU, Sept 22: Baspur Cricket Club (BCC) and Bala Chak Cricket Club won their respective matches to move into the next round of Friendship Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament underway at Bana Singh Stadium, R S Pura.
In the first match of the day, BCC defeated MD Club, Badyal Quzian by 95 runs in a one-sided contest. Earlier, batting first, BCC set a target of 139 runs losing all their wickets, which, in reply, MD Club could not chase and bowled out for just 43 runs in 13 overs.
Jagdeep was top scorer with 28 runs while Sumit and Parveen (not out) contributed 22 and 20 runs respectively. From MD Club, Sunny Chib, Naresh Kumar and Bittu shared two wickets each.
Batting second, MD Club bowled out for a small total of 43 runs in 13 overs. Sunny was only batsman who scored in double figure with 17 runs in his account. Parveen, Jagdeep and Satvir were most successful bowers from BCC with three wickets each. For his all round performance, Parveen was adjudged man of the match.
In another match of the day, Bala Chak Cricket Club registered an outright 10-wicket win over Fattu Chak Cricket Club beating latter by 10 wickets.
Batting first, Fattu Chak lost all their wickets for 68 runs in 16 overs. Parveen was main scorer with 18 runs. Billa was most successful bowler with five wickets from Bala Chak, followed by Rakesh, who took four. In reply, Bala Chak club chased the total in just seven overs making 69 runs without any loss. Manga and Abhay made unbeaten 38 and 15 runs respectively. For his five-wicket haul, Billa was declared man of the match.
Today's matches were officiated by Jagtar Singh, Pankaj Sasun, Suresh Singh and Madan Mohan.
